The CSK Roar 2026 event
To honour its history, CSK brought back legends like Suresh Raina, Matthew Hayden, and Dwayne Bravo to meet the current players. This celebration was a way to respect the past while preparing their youngest squad in years for the new season. By showing off their old trophies, the team reminded everyone of their high standards, especially since they failed to make the playoffs in four of the last six years. The signing of Sanju Samson is seen as a plan for the future, as Dhoni prepares to play a smaller role, the team is getting ready for a brand new era of competition.
The five hour event was a huge party that blended cricket history with live entertainment. India’s star singer AR Rahman even performed a song dedicated to the new CSK star Sanju Samson while actor Sivakarthikeyan kept the crowd energized.
During the ceremony, Matthew Hayden and Suresh Raina were officially added to the CSK Hall of Fame. MS Dhoni also gave special awards to Samson, Shivam Dube and young star Ayush Mhatre.
