The opening segment of the show confirmed the main event of tonight’s WWE SmackDown episode because two major stars faced off to prepare for the upcoming Royal Rumble. Cody Rhodes started the show with his entrance to the ring which included Randy Orton and Sami Zayn and Jey Uso who all declared that they will win their match tomorrow.

The group prepared to leave for the ring when The Vision unexpectedly interrupted their plans and Nick Aldis declared an eight-man tag team match between the two teams. The Vision jumped the faces before Cody Rhodes made his way to the ring. The brawl began when they entered the fight before Cody Rhodes used his fighting skills to create equal combat conditions. The match started after both teams engaged in a massive street fight.
Eight-Man tag match erupts into chaos after multiple interferences
The faces looked set to win the match after Randy Orton turned the tide in his team’s favor. The match ended in a no-contest because Drew McIntyre attacked Sami Zayn after he eliminated the opposition with a Helluva Kick. Jacob Fatu attacked Drew before Cody eliminated him. McIntyre attacked Cody after he attempted to use a Claymore Kick until Zayn stopped him with a Helluva Kick.
Double spear by Bron Breakker decides WWE title showdown
He was about to take the WWE title in his hands, but both he and Cody reached for the title at the same time as their goals collided. The two fighters became distracted when Bron Breakker executed a double spear attack which resulted in him standing victorious at the conclusion of the match.
