Vivo has taken to Weibo to confirm that the X300s, alongside the X300 Ultra, will officially launch in China on March 30 at 7 pm local time (which is 4:30 pm in India). We’ve already had a sneak peek at the design, with the company showing off a sleek green finish for the new handset.
Vivo X300s specifications
Camera: Vivo X300s standout feature is undoubtedly the 200-megapixel main camera. Vivo has teamed up with the experts at Zeiss to fine-tune the sensor, focusing on making colours look as natural as possible while giving your photos a professional boost.
It isn’t just about the main lens, though. Expect a 50MP ultrawide camera using Sony’s large LYTIA-818 sensor. It comes with high-end stabilisation, which should mean much steadier videos and clearer shots when the lighting isn’t great. There’s even talk of a hidden 5MP sensor designed specifically to help the phone reproduce colours more accurately than ever before.
Design: X300s is set to sport a 6.78-inch OLED screen. It’s expected to be incredibly smooth thanks to a 144Hz refresh rate. It also uses new material technology to make the display brighter and more power-efficient.
To make things easier on your eyes during long sessions, the screen features special light-polarising tech. Design-wise, it keeps the signature round camera housing on the back that we’ve seen on other recent flagship Vivo phones.
Chipset: Powering the device is likely the MediaTek Dimensity 9500+ chip.
Battery: To keep you going all day (and probably the next), it’s rumoured to pack a huge 7,000mAh battery.
Audio: Vivo is making sure the X300s sounds as good as it looks. It features a symmetrical dual speaker system that the company claims will improve gaming audio by a whopping 120%
