Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar 2 has been in the news ever since it was announced in December 2025. Now, when the movie has been released, it has indeed lived up to the expectations of the audience and critics. Dhurandhar 2 was indeed anticipated to create records at the box office, and in just five days of its release, Aditya Dhar’s directorial has crossed Rs 750 crore worldwide. Dhurandhar 2 created so much buzz that there are rumours that Ryan Gosling’s much-awaited film Project Hail Mary, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, was delayed. While this was speculation that the makers delayed the film because of Dhurandhar 2’s hype, now the makers have finally broken their silence on the matter.
Why is Project Hail Mary delayed?
Finally, opening up on the matter, the director of Project Hail Mary, Miller, in an interview with Variety India, said, “We’ve got a sequel to a very popular Bollywood film [Dhurandhar 2] coming out on that date. I heard about it, and I am happy.” Next, they both said in unison that “a rising tide lifts all boats.”
Lord added, “That’s right. [That’s] good for the health of the global movie business and for Bollywood. There are great local productions, for sure.”
Dhurandhar 2 beats many Hollywood movies
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 has been making noise at the box office. Released on March 19, 2026, the movie has been on a rampage at the global box office since then. In these five days, Dhurandhar 2 has crossed over Rs 750 crore. Not just that, Dhurandhar 2 has also surpassed films like Ready Or Not 2, Scream 7, and more.
Aditya Dhar’s directorial has also ranked number 2 in the international market, but the movie lags behind Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary, which will be released on March 26.
