Shortly after its release, a video circulated on social media, claiming June 14 release of Dhurandhar 3. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra breaks silence on Dhurandhar 3
However, it turned out that the viral slate is AI generated and is being circulated as an authentic content, possibly to intensify the film’s ongoing buzz. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra also reacted to growing speculations around a potential sequel. He clarified in an interview with Zoom that there is no truth to these rumours.
He said, “Aisa kuch nahi hone wala. Bohot sare rumours hai (Nothing of the sort is going to happen. There are a lot of rumours).” Further, he added that if there were any official updates, he would post them on X.
Dhurandhar 2 setting new records
Ever since released, Dhurandhar 2 has been creating waves at the box office. Helmed by Aditya Dhar, the film has already become one of the highest performers in recent times, shattering multiple records withing just five days of its release.
Dhurandhar 2 opened with a massive Rs 102.55 crore on Day 1 (Thursday), followed by Rs 80.72 crore on Friday. It saw a huge jump over the weekend, grossing Rs 113 crore on Saturday and earning Rs 114.85 crore on Sunday.
Box office success
Within 5 days, Dhurandhar 2’s total domestic net collection now stands at Rs 519.12 crore, while the India gross has reached to Rs 619.76 crore. Overseas too, the film is performing well, with its total worldwide gross collection standing at Rs 829.76 crore.

Dhurandhar 2 was released in Hindi and all South Indian languages on March 19, with its paid previews held on March 18. The sequel sees Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun and Danish Pandor reprising their roles from the first installment.
