Jewar International Airport BIG Update: IndiGo, Akasa Air, Air India Express to operate flights, check routes and other details
Noida International Airport in Jewar is preparing to become a major aviation hub for North India, with leading airlines already outlining their plans for initial operations.

The new airport is being developed as a major alternative to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport and is expected to significantly improve air connectivity across the National Capital Region (NCR).
Which will the first airlines to operate?

According to multiple media reports, IndiGo, Akasa Air and Air India Express are expected to be among the first airlines to operate from the airport once it begins commercial services.
When will operations begin?

Reports suggest that the Noida International Airport will be inaugurated around March 28, 2026. Commercial flight operations are likely to begin shortly after the launch, once the airport receives final regulatory clearances from aviation authorities.
Domestic flights

IndiGo is likely to anchor the airport’s early operations by launching several domestic routes. According to reports, the airline plans to connect Jewar with key metro cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. Akasa Air is also expected to start domestic services from the airport during the initial phase.
International flights

Meanwhile, Air India Express is likely to focus on short-haul international flights. Reports indicate that the airline may operate services to destinations in West Asia and Southeast Asia.
